As the sexual assault trial begins for America’s Dad, Bill Cosby, co-star Keshia Knight Pulliam made sure she showed her support visibly by accompanying Cosby to court.

According to published reports, Cosby, 79, is accused of drugging and violating Andrea Constand, an employee of Temple University’s basketball program, at his suburban Philadelphia mansion in 2004.

As he arrived at the courthouse, Cosby talked with his TV daughter as they walked into the courthouse together, as he remained silent when asked by reporters about his health.

The Grio reports that Judge Steven T. O’Neill instructed the jurors, who were selected from the Pittsburgh area, not to glance at news updates on their cell phones.

In 2015 a lawsuit brought by Constand revealed an unsavory private life including a history of extramarital encounters with young women and included a then sequestered testimony from Cosby who admitted he obtained quaaludes for the purpose of drugging women in the 1970s.

Dr. Cosby built his infamous reputation as a father and family man, on screen and off, during his legendary career in entertainment, which spans more than 50 years; earning more him an estimated $400 million.

Pulliam isn’t the only original cast member of “The Cosby Show” who has publicly defended Bill Cosby as sexual assault allegations came to light. Both Malcolm Jamal Warner and Phylicia Rashad have also spoken out on his behalf.

The comedian could get 10 years in prison if convicted.
