After only six months after tying the knot in wedded bliss, Keshia Knight Pulliam’s husband, ex-football player Ed Hartwell, filed for divorce. The shocking news comes only a week after the couple announced that they are expecting their first child together.
The 38-year- old former Atlanta Falcon filed court papers in Fulton County, Georgia, on Monday, July 25, citing irreconcilable differences, Us Weekly reports. According to a statement presented to TheYBF.com, Hartwell questions his paternity of the unborn child. “Right now, the only thing I want is a paternity test for the baby,” he told the site in a statement, via his rep.
The 37-year- old Cosby Show baby sister and Hartwell (who was previously married to and share a nine-year- old son with former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Lisa Wu) secretly tied the knot in a New Year’s Eve ceremony in January at their Georgia home.
“We did it literally in our living room in our home,” Pulliam said on her podcast, Kandidly Keshia, on January 22. “We come from large families…They had no clue they were coming to a wedding. They thought they were coming to a New Year’s party.”
Earlier this month, Pulliam announced her pregnancy via Instagram. On Monday, the mom-to- be shared a pic of her baby bump on her personal Instagram page.
