Kevin Gates has learned the hard way to keep his feet to himself. The Baton Rouge MC was sentenced to 180 days in jail for kicking a fan named Miranda Dixon during his concert in Tampa, FL back in 2014 after she tugged at his shorts. Kevin Gates will now call the Polk County jail home for the next 6-months. The judge also hit Mr. “I Don’t Get Tired” with a year of probation which seems even stiffer since the prosecution was only seeking 60-days for the rapper who turned down a plea deal.
WFLA/Channel 8 News reported, “In a previous hearing Gates attempted to have the charges dropped using the Stand Your Ground defense. He admitted he kicked a female fan after she reached out and grabbed his pants several times at Rumor’s Nite Club in Lakeland. Gates testified, ‘I kicked them, I wanted them off me,’ he said, adding that after the girl grabbed him so many times, he kicked her in self-defense.’”
