Kid Cudi is back, in good health and releasing new music.

On Thursday (Dec. 1), Cudi took to Twitter to announce the release date of his new album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’. Kid Cudi’s new album–the follow-up to 2015’s Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven– is out December 16 via Republic, according to an iTunes listing, with the physical release date scheduled for December 23. In addition to sharing the album art and release date, Cudi has also shared the second single off of the album, “Baptized in Fire,” which features Travis Scott.

This is Kid Cudi's album art.

Cudi had planned to release his record in September, but soon took to Twitter to reveal the album was delayed “due to some minor sample clearances being finalized.” Shortly after the delay, Cudi revealed to fans that he had been struggling with “depression and suicidal urges” and had entered rehab to address his issues. He took to the internet at the end of November to thank his fans for all of their positive support. “Thank you for opening your hearts and extending your love and support,” he wrote. “I wanted to let y’all know it meant the world to me. I have nothing but love for you. Words can’t really express how much it made my heart glow. I look forward to better days.” He also gave an update on his health noting that he was “Feelin’ great and brand new.”

After a month and two beefs with Drake and Lupe Fiasco, Cudi took to the internet at the end of November to thank his fans for all of their positive support.
