Kodak Black Takes on Race in America in New Video “Tunnel Vision” [Watch Now]

With scenes of the rapper performing in front of burning Ku Klux Klan crosses and other shots of a racist white boy in a Jeep, sporting a bright red “Make America Hate Again” Trump hat, Kodak Black paints a disturbing picture of race in America in his gripping new video “Tunnel Vision.”

“Kodak, they don’t wanna see you winning/they’d rather see you in the penitentiary,” he raps over a mid-tempo track aided by a fluttering flute provided by Metro Boomin and Southside.

The story line of the Michael Garcia-directed video shows a hate-filled white boy on his way to doing some dirt. He pops out of the vehicle, grabs a chopper, aims and attempts to unload on a black man in a field. The gun jams, the gunman panics in an attempt to fix the weapon, and before he can, the unarmed black man charges his would-be murderer.

The two scuffle throughout the next scenes before the black man grabs an American flag in an ironic attempt to strangle him with the Stars and Stripes. Before he could tighten up the noose, a child appears out of nowhere and orders them to stop.

Just last week, the Florida rapper paid homage to LL Cool J by remaking Uncle L’s classic “I Need Love.”

But while LL was showing love to the ladies, young Kodak reminisces on his love for the hood, his 1800 block and some lost friends along the way. The XXL Freshman spits,

“You would think I do construction I was out there selling rocks/I was in the rap game and still on the block/I was sitting in a cell when Enell got shot/That’s my cousin swear to god it would’ve been different if I was out.”

Kodak’s next project Painting Pictures is also on deck for March 31st and he’s currently rocking out on his Back & Better tour. Peep the remaining dates below.
