Kodak Black Transferred from Florida to South Carolina Jail to Face Sex Charge

Kodak Black was released from the St. Lucie County, Fla. jail on Monday and extradited to South Carolina to face a charge of criminal sexual conduct, reports the Sun Sentinel.

Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was booked back in April in his native Broward County on drugs and weapons charges, after ensuing police on a high-speed chase.

ABC affiliate WPLG reported the 19-year-old was arrested after police say they witnessed Octave engaging in what they believed to be a drug deal with two other men. When approached by police, according to reports, Octave and another man fled the scene with police in pursuit.

The chase ended after the South Florida rapper finally parked his car, where police say they saw him throw a firearm into a dumpster. The police report states that a loaded Glock 23 pistol and 30-round magazine of ammunition were found on the scene.

He was released from Broward County four months later and placed on house arrest. But right before touching down on free ground, two more warrants for a misdemeanor drug charge in St. Lucie County as well as a sexual battery trial in South Carolina were discovered.

Now after serving his misdemeanor sentence in St. Lucie County, he has been transferred to South Carolina to cross another legal hurdle. Details surrounding the South Carolina charge are unclear at this time.
