Grammy-Award winning rapper Lecrae just released the powerfully uplifting “Blessings,” which features Ty Dolla $ign.
The righteous spitter raps on the track,
“I remember pushin’ mama’s little white Hyundai with no gas money,” Lecrae reflects over a skittering trap beat. “I just bought a car, cash money/ I ain’t even tryna brag on it/ I just tell it how it really is.”
Filmed in Los Angeles, CA, the video was directed by Calmatic (Kendrick Lamar, The Internet, Jhene Aiko) and shines the spotlight on the true blessings in life – friends and family.
Speaking of his new track, Lecrae said,
“I’ve always felt like before we complain let’s be grateful we have breath to complain with,. God blesses me daily. I appreciate simple things like sunshine and family. I just want people to stop for a minute and appreciate the little things and give folks hope in the struggle.”
“Blessings” will be included on Lecrae’s upcoming new album which he is currently recording and slated for release later this year.
