Lil’ Wayne  has been coming under fire for his insensitive comments regarding the Black Lives Matter movement and police community relations towards people of color.

In an interview with TMZ, Lil’ Wayne explained that his comments came from agitation after the ABC Nightline reporter began asking him questions about his daughter being labeled a “bitch” or “hoe”.

“When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a hoe, I got agitated,” Lil Wayne said. “From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses.”

As previously reported, during the ABC Nightline interview which aired Tuesday (Nov. 1),  Lil’ Wayne blasted the movement, saying it didn’t apply to him because he’s young, black and rich.  Weezy then went on to state that his life mattered to him and his “bitches” and that’s all he cared about. In the full clip, it is clear that his comments were made a few minutes after the reporter asked him about his daughter,  ABC is also reporting that soon thereafter the interview was cut short with Wayne exiting the interview saying, “I ain’t no fucking politician.”

Lil’ Wayne made it clear during his interview with TMZ that he didn’t mean to offend anyone and also apologized saying,  “Apologies to anyone who was offended.”
