Lil Wayne shot subtle disses at Cash Money Records CEO Birdman on his feature on Solange’s new song “Mad.”
“When I wear this fucking Bird on my back like a motherfucking cap and gown/Then I walk up in the bank, pants sagging down/And I laugh at frowns like what they mad about/Cause here come this motherfucker with this mass account/That didn’t wear a cap and gown/Are you mad cause the judge didn’t give me more time/And when I attempted suicide, I didn’t die/I remember how mad I was on that day/Man, you gotta let it go before it get up in the way,” Weezy raps.
The song is on Solange’s new album, A Seat at the Table, a 21-track album which also features The-Dream, Lil Wayne, BJ The Chicago Kid and Q-Tip on “Borderline (An Ode to Self Care).”
Lil Wayne’s foul words towards Birdman stem from Weezy’s ongoing $51 million lawsuit against CMR. Recently, Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J. Prince vowed to get every penny owed Lil Wayne from Cash Money. Prince got involved after his son Jas filed a lawsuit against CMR.
