Last week at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, UCLA freshman Zo Ball awaited his official draft into the NBA. As expected, he became the second-overall pick and next rookie of the Los Angeles Lakers on June 22—to the joy of his outspoken father and Big Baller Brand owner LaVar Ball. But before the Lakers even called Lonzo’s named, the new colorway of ZO2 had already been in existence and was walking the halls of Barclays that night.
Twitter caught Lakers reporter Mike Trudell fit in the new white, purple, and yellow BBB kicks called “Sho’time.” For the rest of fans however, the trainers won’t be available until Nov. 24.

The first footwear style from BBB, ZO2 Prime has gotten a reputation for being overpriced. And even though this new Lakers-colored edition comes out on Black Friday, the brand’s website lists the new shoe at the typical price range—without discount—for all ZO2 models. Sho’time is anticipated to cost between $495 and $695.

Without even playing a season yet, Sho’time pushes the Ball family into a public perception of the Lakers’ legacy. And just yesterday, Lavar and sons Lonzo and LaMelo Ball made their first public appearance at the Staples Center since Zo’s draft. While guests of WWE, the family brought along their BBB merchandise to wear—a logo Los Angeles inhabitants are destined to become familiar with.
