Marvel Unleashes New Fierce Black Panther Poster

Black comic book fanatics have been marking their calendars waiting for the release of the official trailer of the new Black Panther movie by Marvel Comics.

Since the introduction of the Black Panther superhero in “Captain America: Civil War” in 2016, black comic books fans have been anxiously anticipating the release of the new movie reintroducing the bold and daring character.

On Friday (Jun 9), Marvel released the official poster for the film via Twitter channeling Black Panther Party leader Huey P. Newton. The poster shows the smooth, dark, superhero in an all black, body-contoured suit complete with legendary sharp claws and spiked collar. His facial expression is straight forward badass ready to avenge his father’s death.

According to Marvel Comics, The Black Panther series follows T’Challa, son of the King of Wakanda, who returns home after his father’s death to the technologically advanced African nation to take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful, evil, enemy resurfaces, the Black Panther is tested when he encounters the disturbing quarrel that puts the fate of Wakanda and the world in his hands. In efforts to defeat his foe, he must ban together with his allies to secure the fate of the world.

The first black American mainstream superhero movie features some of Hollywood’s most prominent black actors including Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger (villain), and Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia (love interest). The cast also features Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, and Forest Whitaker.

Marvel also teased at the release of the official trailer for the epic film tonight during the NBA Finals game. The movie is set to be released February 16, 2018, during Black History month.
