Master P knows what it takes to make hit records. As the colonel of No Limit Records, he spearheaded a hit factory of gold and platinum plaques during the mid to late 1990s. Now, his newest handpicked star in the making is R&B singer Paloma Ford, who also happens to be the ex-boo thang of Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young.
Percy Miller revealed the news in an interview with XXL, saying that it is only a matter of time before his newest songbird takes the world by storm.
“The reason why I am managing her is because she is a diamond in the rough, the world is about to feel the wrath of her star power,” he says. “I feel she will be one of the top female R&B artists in the world. Thats why I decided to sign her under No Limit management.”
P also says that he started managing Ford two months ago.
Ford dated Young for three months, and the couple reportedly broke up last week so the basketball star could spend more time with his newborn daughter. She spoke about her management deal in a new interview with Hot 97:
“I’ve definitely always yearned for it. He’s just the perfect person because up until this point, I’ve done everything independently,” she said. “A lot of people think that I’m signed to Meek or signed to a label and I’ve never been signed to a major. I have always taken the independent route.”
