Missy Elliott just hit us with an unexpected release as she unveils her new video “I’m Better” featuring new comer Lamb. Missy has always been the Queen of Videos and shows no signs of relinquishing that crown with the trippy laser visual directed by Dave Meyers and herself.
The VA rap legend gets the club rocking once again with tantalizing lyrics like,
“Yeah he got bands in the Bando/ Missy got dudes in Orlando/ Plus I got cars that he paying for/ Man I be too much to handle/ Watch what I do, when I get up on you/ Pop potential in my room and zoom in the poom…”
Missy’s last official album was 2005’s The Cookbook and from the sound of things, she hasn’t missed a beat.
No word yet on where this hot new track will land but she’s also prepping a new documentary about her ground breaking career. In the trailer below, Pharrell, Busta Rhymes, Sylvia Rhone and Mona Scott-Young also speak on Missy’s genius so this could possibly be tied to this upcoming film.
