#MusicMonday Trinidad James Drops New Single and Visual for Father’s Day [Watch]

Trinidad James has officially dropped more music.

The “All Gold Everything” rapper returns with new music just in time for Father’s Day. “Dad”, a track off of James upcoming project Father Figga, celebrates the roles of fathers and father figures in the lives of young men.

In the video, James is dressed up as a much older male who helps guide the son of his girlfriend to grow into becoming a man. Father Figga features eight more additional tracks that follow along with the same theme. James gave insight as to why the project focuses so heavily on fathers. In a released statement he said:

“Every child needs a ‘father figga’,” says Trinidad. “Bad fathers help mold great mothers, and good fathers help mold great women.”

Earlier this year, James kicked off 2017 with the release of  The Wake Up 2. The second installment in the Wake Up series, which started in Jan. 2015, the new tape featured appearances from iLoveMakonnen, Peewee Longway, Skooly, Scotty ATL, Lyric Wright and the late Bankroll Fresh.

Father Figga is due out later this year and it features production from Sonny Digital, Ricky Racks, Young Fyre, and Nard and B.
