Nas is celebrating Black History Month in style. The New York rapper is set to launch a new line of clothing from his brand HSTRY featuring dashikis, t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats with messages like “Black Don’t Crack” and “I’m Black And I’m Proud.”
Images on the collection will also feature a pro-black mashup of “Mookie” from Do the Right Thing mixed with Bart Simpson; a Black Panther Party version of the Pink Panther rocking a black leather jacket and matching beret; and a brown-skinned remake of Schroeder tuning a boom box instead of a piano with his fist raised in the sky.
“I used to low-key cringe when Black History Month came around. It felt like a slap in face with all the hell we catch daily,” Nas said in a statement to the Huffington Post. “Like a small reward for a dog’s good behavior, then back to the kennel. But I’ll take it. I’ll take what I can get and that’s all I need to go to new heights.”
A portion of proceeds for the line will go to National Black Child Development Institute, which provides various resources to black children through “publications, advocacy and trainings related to early childhood care and education; health and wellness; literacy and family engagement,” according to the organization’s website.
The collection can be purchased now via the HSTRY online store. Also, check out some pictures of the collection below.
