Nick Cannon Inks Deal with YouTube Red To Distribute His New Film “King Of The Dancehall” Co-starring Busta Rhymes and Whoopi Goldberg

Nick Cannon continues to count those M’s as it has been announced that his company Ncredible Productions has partnered with YouTube Red to release his upcoming musical drama King of the Dancehall. 

Cannon wrote, directed, starred and executive produced the film which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. The multi-talented Cannon plays a Brooklyn man who moves to Jamaica, falls in love and embraces the Reggae-Dance Hall culture. The film also stars Busta Rhymes, Whoopi Goldberg, Louis Gossett Jr., Kreesha Turner and Kimberly Patterson.

YouTube Red is the video sharing website’s  $10-per-month subscription service, Speaking of the deal, Cannon said,

 “Music and dance are universal themes, and I’m excited to partner with YouTube to bring a story about the world’s sexiest dance tradition to its massive audience. This film invites viewers into a vibrant yet little-known world outside of the Caribbean — the Jamaican dancehall. We assembled an amazing cast, mixed documentary footage from real-life dancehall scenes, and collaborated with music legends to bring King of the Dancehall to life.”
