Nicki Minaj Performs “Realize” at NBA Awards [Watch]

In her ongoing beef with Remy Ma, Young Money starlet Nicki Minaj put points on the board last night (June 26) during her performance of “Realize” with 2 Chainz at the inaugural NBA Awards live from Basketball City in New York.

In a Roman-themed show, Chainz opened up the performance with his verse. Then, Barbie was carried onto the stage in a gold bed carried by four shirtless men while spitting her verse. And she didn’t bite her tongue when reciting the part about her arch nemesis.

“She wanna sit in my chair/ But she can never be my heir/…I been winning eight years consistently. At least respect it/ Your dude wrote that ‘Ether’ record/ But I broke Aretha record/ Did Nas clear that ‘Ether’ record?/ Nah, but I broke Aretha record.”

Nicki continued to dig into Remy’s chest with her follow-up performance of the chorus to “No Frauds.”

This latest jab at Remy came only one day after Remy broke Nicki’s seven-year winning streak for the BET Award’s Best Female Hip Hop Artist on Sunday night (June 25). When Remy took the stage to claim her award for the first time since 2005, she thanked her friends, family and peers.

The Bronx, NY native then proceeded to recite lines from “Spaghetti”: “Y’all bitches got fat while we starved/ Shots in your ass, pads in your bras/ Y’all some liars it ain’t no facts in your songs/ And yeah that crown is coming back to the Bronx.” Many fans believe the rhyme to be subliminal shots at Nicki.
