Nicki Minaj has been hitting the studio lately putting her spin on some of the hottest records in the game right now and her new freestyle is no different.
After her successful remix of Young M.A.’s “Oooouuu”, which put fans in frenzy after she joked about releasing a new album, Minaj is back but this time she put her spin on Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” for her rendition titled “Black Barbies.”
Via Instagram, Nicki explained why she’s felt inspired to remix these new school songs and why she’s elated to see Hip Hop artists at top of the charts.
“Why? Cuz 2 Lil black kids got the NUMBER 1 RECORD IN THE COUNTRY & I’m soooooo happy for Mike Will,” she wrote. “Now ✅ that! *my baby Phaedra voice* 💟🎀 #SremmLife #MikeWillMadeIt Guwop on the nmbr one record in the country.”
Although the title seems “cute”, Nicki is bringing the real, touching on a lot of subjects including the 2016 Presidential election as she spits, “Island girl, Donald Trump want me go home, Still pull up with my wrist looking like a snow cone.”
But just in case you forgot, Nicki let it be known she’s still the queen in the rap game as she rhymes, “Sativa so strong I’m not blinkin’/What in the world was I thinkin’?/New day, new money to be made/New things for them to imitate/I’m a fuckin’ black barbie/Pretty face, perfect body/Pink seats in the ‘Rari.”
