Nicki Minaj Tapped to Perform at 2017 NBA Awards

Drake won’t be the only Young Money superstar on stage at the NBA’s inaugural awards show.

On Thursday (May 25),  Turner and the Association officially announced that Nicki Minaj will perform at the 2017 NBA Awards.

After her jaw-dropping performance at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, Nicki has been tapped to perform and based on her catalog of bangers, which includes quite a few with the host, Drake, the audience is definitely in for a show which many speculate will include a joint performance.

In addition to appearances by Drake and Nicki, the event will also feature appearances from Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal and various other celebrities and personalities from around the league.

The first ever NBA Awards show will honor the best the NBA has to offer by giving out trophies for Kia’s Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Sixth Man Award, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player and Coach of the Year.

The NBA is also introducing six new fan-selected awards, giving fans the chance to vote for the athlete of their choice. Viewers choice awards include Best Style, Assist of the Year, Block of the Year, Dunk of the Year, Game Winner of the Year and Performance of the Year, to cast your vote, click here.

The 2017 NBA Awards will take place after the NBA Finals conclude at Basketball City in New York City’s Pier 6 and will air on TNT  Monday, June 26 at 9 p.m. EST.
