No Charges Filed Against Young Thug for Allegedly Slapping Woman

Young Thug is in the clear after being accused of slapping a woman in the face in a nightclub parking lot back in March. TMZ reports today (April 10) that the case was presented to the court to see if there was enough evidence to obtain a warrant and charge the rapper with battery. But the case was thrown out by the judge due to a lack of evidence.

The situation dates back to when police were called to Palace nightclub in Atlanta during the wee hours of March 5 to respond to reports that Thugger slapped the taste out of the mouth of 27-year-old Valerie Raven, aka Akbar V.

According to reports, Raven was lip wrestling with Thug’s fiancee Jerrika Karlae, when Jeffrey intervened with a five-finger smack to the left side of her face.

Akbar said there were several witnesses to the assault, but Thug and Karlae had already left by the time cops showed up.

Steadily dodging potential legal pitfalls, the Atlanta rapper was facing felony cocaine possession, felony marijuana possession and three counts of felony gun possession charges, but last week, he had all charges dropped.

Since the July 2015 raid of Thug’s Sandy Springs, Ga. home by the cops, the district attorney had dropped all but the marijuana charges. Thug’s lawyers argued the weed charge should be kicked out too, due to the cops conducting the search without a proper warrant, and the judge agreed, throwing out that charge as well.
