Paul Rosenberg Lands New Title as CEO of Def Jam Records

If you are an Eminem fan or even a real Hip-Hop fan in general, then the name Paul Rosenberg rings all types of bells. Paul Rosenberg is Eminem’s longtime manager and one of the co-founders of Shady Records. The 46-year-old music veteran has close ties with 50 Cent, Action Bronson, and D12. Just to name a few. Starting January 1, 2018, Rosenberg will be adding a new title to his name and starting a new chapter in his career.

Paul Rosenberg is taking a step up to the top executive position at Def Jam Records. The Detroit native will be replacing Steve Bartels, who has been running the highly respected record label since 2013.

Def Jam is an imprint of Universal Music Group. The record was  founded in 1983 by Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin while in their dorm at New York University. Some of the records label’s first artists were  LL Cool J, the Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy. Def Jam has made many hit songs in the last year. Those songs include No. 1s by Justin Bieber with “Sorry” and “Panda” from Desiigner.
