Phaedra Parks not returning to ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta [Watch]

The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast is receiving a shake up.

According to E! News, Phaedra Parks will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The news comes after the shocking revelation during the four-part reunion special that Parks was the one to start the rumor that Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, had planned to drug and rape fellow housewife Porsha Williams.

Visibly shaken and crying, Burruss confronted Parks and Williams for starting the rumor, reminding  Phaedra that the rumor was not only false but defaming Burruss’ character.

“As a lawyer, I can’t believe that you would say something like that,” Burruss said. “You are a lawyer and to say that I would drug someone is crazy!”

After the reveal, the other women were clearly shocked. Both Sheree Whitfield and Cynthia Bailey were trying to make sense of what had just taken place, saying, “All the years I’ve done the show, this is some crazy s–t right here.”

Since the reunion special aired, rumors have been swirling that there was no way Bravo could bring Parks back next season after the shocking revelation, and it seems that the speculation is right.

Since joining RHOA in 2010, Phaedra has gone through a messy divorce from Apollo Nida, who is serving an eight-year prison sentence for bank fraud, with a judge recently tossing out the divorce judgment. Phaedra, who has two kids with Apollo, filed for divorce in 2014, and it was granted by default after he never responded. However, in December 2016, he contested the filing, saying he had never been served.
