Musical genius Pharrell Williams has dropped a new single off of the soundtrack for the upcoming film Hidden Figures.

The bluesy new song “Runnin’ almost seems attributed to the fearlessness of the biopics core trio: Katherine JohnsonDorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, three African-American mathematicians whose crucial calculations propelled early NASA missions like Apollo 11.

With synth-bass and smooth horns, Pharrell sets the stage for a blistering “summertime in Virginia,” where the trio was hired to work for NASA’s Langley Research Center.

“I don’t want no free ride/ I’m just sick and tired of runnin’,” he sings. “Some nights I cry/ Cause I can see the day comin’/ Together we fight/ Oh, but no more runnin.'”

Hidden Figures, which is slated to hit theaters December 25th, stars Taraji P. HensonOctavia Spencer and singer Janelle Monáe (in her film debut), alongside Jim ParsonsKirsten Dunst and Glen Powell.

Skateboard P, who co-produced the film and wrote original music for the soundtrack, has shared a pair of new songs from, the original soundtrack, “Runnin’” and “Surrender” with Lalah Hathaway.
