It came as no surprise that Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane‘s infectious single “Black Beatles” would crack the No. 1 spot on Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Knocking The Chainsmokers “Closer” from the top of the chart after a 12-week reign, “Black Beatles” quickly rose to the top of the charts thanks in part to the “Mannequin Challenge,” the latest online craze that has had the Internet going nuts over the past couple of weeks. People as diverse as high school kids, professional athletes and even politicians posting videos to social media of themselves looking as though they’ve been frozen in time.

“Black Beatles” was the official soundtrack to the challenge and has been accepted by accepted by everyone from Hillary Clinton to Destiny’s Child and even Paul McCartney. The single marks the first No. 1 hit for both Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane and has made the greatest one-week ascend on the charts (9 to 1) since Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” (53 to 1) last June.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd said, “You do what you want in this world, and people either love you or hate you for it. Thanks to everyone that stands behind us.”

The song’s producer and CEO of the group’s label Eardrummer, Mike WiLL Made-It added that the accomplishment of being in the No. 1 spot is something that he “could have never imagined or dreamed of,” he said. “I couldn’t have asked for a better moment to be a part of.

He also called the song “the best song I have produced so far in my career.”
