Remy Ma and Papoose

When it comes to the king and queen of freestyle, it’s no secret that Remy Ma and Papoose easily hold the crown.

Stopping by Hot 97 with Funkmaster Flex, Remy and Papoose knocked off listeners proverbial wigs as they ripped the mic for more than seven minutes. Remy packed the heat over Nas‘ “NY State of Mind”, while Pap killed over Jay Z‘s “Where I’m From”.

Fresh off of two Grammy nominations for “All the Way Up”, Remy annihilates emcees as she spits a freestyle she wrote, “in the car on the way to the interview”.

See, ya’ whole style is bitten / Pieces ain’t hittin’ / When Nas said ‘it was written’ / Was talkin’ about y’all bitches / Trying to play chess, but why would I play you? / When I can knock the whole fuckin’ board off the table.” Later she says, “I wanted to be an icon / Ended up like Akon / They finally let me out, now I’m an ex-con.

The “Black Love” duo are the driving force behind VH-1‘s hit show “Love & Hip Hop-New York” and the heat they continue to pack during their freestyle sessions are leaving fans wondering if Remy will be dropping another solo album soon. Only time will tell but you can check out the freestyle below.
