Grand opening, grand closing for Rick Ross protege Isa Muhammad, as he announced yesterday via Twitter that he is calling it quits with music.
“I’m not making anymore music. This my one and only album,” he tweeted.
The Maybach Music Group artist gave several reasons for his departure from the game, including his Islamic faith, controversial lyrics and an overall desire to leave MMG.
I’m not making anymore music. This my one and only album.

I retire from music. Not because it ain’t goin how I want. But because music is forbidden in Islam and because music is not apart of my plan

Some of the things I be rapping about prolly are to controversial for Ross & MMG to support.

I don’t want to be signed to MMG any more. They insulted me with how they treated me, given my performance.

Muhammad signed with MMG after Ross heard the California rapper freestyle on the streets of Venice. In December, Muhammad dropped his debut mixtape Diabolical Bastard Billionaire Genius. But now he is apparently unhappy with his label home. Rick Ross has yet to comment.
