Rihanna Blesses the Beauty Industry with Fenty Beauty Line

It is no secret that Rihanna is this century’s most notable fashion icon. From her unique and edgy style that spills over into her outstanding music career, it is no wonder she wants to share her beauty with the world.

On Sunday (Jun 4), the island beauty announced via Twitter that she is adding another business venture under her belt with her new beauty line, Fenty.

Although the details of the line are being kept hushed for the moment. We do know that one of the first products to be released is the holographic lip pigment that Rihanna teased her fans with at her Fenty x Puma spring 2017 runway show.  In preparation for the new line, Rih Rih held open casting calls in February in three major cities for brand makeup artists.

According to Erik Soto (Global Artistry & Education Senior Manager for Kendo Brands), they wanted to open their brand to rising makeup artists and enthusiasts in efforts to build a diverse team of beauty experts who excel in artistry, elevated education, makeup experience, and the ability to best represent a brand.

The Fenty line isn’t the first time Rihanna had a brush with the makeup industry. In 2013, Rihanna collaborated with MAC Cosmetics on a four-part, limited edition RiRi Hearts MAC color cosmetics collection, as well as produced several fragrances for Parlux Ltd including her latest addition “Kiss.”

The full line of products is slated to drop Fall of 2017 and will be available at Sephora counters in select major cities.
