Looks like Soulja Boy‘s online antics may have caught up with him.
According to TMZ, Soulja Boy was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of violating his probation after police found a firearm in his Hollywood Hills home, officials said.
Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was taken into custody about 7 a.m. at his home. Although the reason for the call is unknown call, many are speculating the arrest was the result after someone snitched on the rapper for threatening people online.
While officers were on the scene responding to the Crime Stoppers tip, they reportedly found a firearm, which due to being on probation from the 2014 incident also involving a gun, Soulja Boy is not allowed to own or possess, resulting in his arrest.
The 26-year-old Chicago native was arrested in January 2014 in Granada Hills on suspicion of possessing a loaded gun. He was a passenger in a car when police pulled the driver over for allegedly running a stop sign.
The rapper also was arrested on felony drug and weapons charges in 2011 after a traffic stop in Georgia.
Soulja who has been beefing with everyone including Lil’ Yachty, Shia Le’Bouf and Quavo, was also rumored to be fired from his role on the VH-1 reality show “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood”, which his longtime girlfriend Nia Riley exposed when he listed costar Nikki Mudarris as his “WCW” on his Instagram page (which was promptly deleted after Nia’s comment).
