Starlito and Scarface Collab on “Once Upon a Time”

Starlito and Scarface pour their pains and transgressions over an entrancing, mid-tempo track provided by Trakksounds on the cinematic single “Once Upon a Time.”

The first single from Trakksounds’ upcoming album The Other Side dropping at the end of March, the track is just a small precursor to what’s yet to come. The Other Side is also set to feature Devin Tha Dude and Kirko Bangz on “11:15,″ Maxo Kream and Xavier Wulf on “Active” and A$AP Ferg, Maxo Kream and Killa Kyleon on “Never Tipsy.”

Back in November, some 27 years since Face (then known as DJ Akshen) released his monumental single “Scarface” as a solo artist, the record was re-released on vinyl in honor of one of the tracks that helped lead the South into rap dominance.

The original version of “Scarface” appeared on Lil’ Troy’s independent label Short Stop Records. Later that year, Brad Jordan signed to Rap-A-Lot Records, joined the Geto Boys and released the group’s album Grip It! On That Other Level, the album widely known from which the track appeared.

On The Good Foot Music kicked off their series of re-releasing Houston Hip-Hop classics and unreleased material from the late 1980s/ early 1990s. The single is now available on 7-inch vinyl.

Only 500 copies will be released and will come with two posters with images from the original photo-shoot, a postcard and a sticker. Purchase your copy here.
