TMZ reported today (March 22) that Suge Knight is back in the hospital for blood clots, a condition that he has reportedly been battling for two years.
According to the celebrity news outlet, the former music mogul is listed in stable condition at USC Medical Center. Knight was placed in solitary confinement in February of last year and has complained the conditions have threatened his health.
Knight was arrested, charged with murder and attempted murder and placed on $10.5 million bail as he awaited trial. Just last month, after the trial was postponed at a court hearing until early summer, his son Suge J. Knight posted a pic to Instagram of his father in an orange jail jumpsuit shortly after the hearing. In the caption, he tells how he feels his father is being mistreated and neglected.
“Im grateful to see my dad this morning, but it hurt me to see him get neglected right in front of my face. Im distugsted that these people take an oath to serve justice but do the exact opposite,” he wrote. “I havent seen or heard this mans voice in two years!…I dont know anybody who can sit in solitary confinement for two years and not speak to, nor choose his own lawyer.”
Knight was placed in solitary confinement in February of last year. The caption continues, “When will they let him get the best chance to defend himself… I really need those that actually support and who has a heart to reach out. I have great news but i need justice to be served.”
