Award-winning actress, Taraji P. Henson is the know for her portrayals of women who kick a** at all costs. We have seen Henson as a street code living ex-wife as Cookie Lions and a strong-willed mathematician as Katherine Johnson in the film, ‘Hidden Figures’. Come January 12, we get to see the Washington, D.C. born actress heat things up even more.
Taraji P. Henson will be playing an assassin by the name of Mary Goodwin in the forthcoming action film, ‘Proud Mary.’ In the 2-miunte trailer for the highly anticipated film we get to see Henson dress to kill, literally. Dressed in wigs of different lengths and colors and all black clothing, the female assassin makes sure she is dressed for the occasion. Long thigh high boots and dark red lipstick put the perfect touches on the “killer” outfits as Ms. Mary Goodwin pursues her victims.
Ike & Tina Turner’s 1970’s hit, “Proud Mary” is the official theme song for the film’s official trailer. Veteran actor, Danny Glover and ‘How to Get Away With Murder’s Billy Brown also star in the film and can be seen in the trailer.
