Trae Tha Truth Teams with Retro-Style Stereo Company Bumpboxx

Stockton-based company Bumpboxx has teamed up with Houston hip-hop legend Trae tha Truth for the release of their their retro-style boombox that sports modern tech such as Bluetooth capability, USB ports, and a wireless PA system.

Co-founded in 2016 by Rob Owens, David Southern and Glen Fedale, the trio recently formed a unique collaboration with the vice president of Tip ‘”T.I.” Harris’ Grand Hustle Records, as their brand ambassador and the face of Bumpboxx.

The team’s passion for music, combined with their individual entrepreneurial experiences, have afforded the company a thorough and diverse approach that has catapulted the company’s entry into the marketplace.

“The Bumpboxx was created to fulfill our desire for a cool boombox that combined modern functionality, high-quality audio and the aesthetics that we’ve loved since youth,” says Trae. “The response we’ve received proves we weren’t the only people waiting for a product that offered all of the above.”

Bumpboxx turned to crowdfunding site IndieGoGo in October of 2015, and the response was more than encouraging. They raised 179% of their goal, which proved not only were people listening but that Bumpboxx was addressing a real need for a more powerful Bluetooth speaker.

Recognizing a crucial moment in their growth, Bumpboxx is now focused on establishing the company’s brand identity and cultural voice. The Bumpboxx team has turned to Northern California’s premier full-service branding agency, Mindslap, to build out their online presence, print collateral, video presentations and more.
