Trey Songz Released From Jail, Charged With Punching a Cop, Aggravated Assault

Trey Songz was released from the Detroit Detention Center on $25,000 bail earlier today after throwing a tantrum onstage at the “Big Show at the Joe” concert last night, according to TMZ.

He pitched a fit after event staff cut his performance short and began throwing objects and destroying property. Police eventually rushed the stage, and according to the Detroit prosecutor, Trey struck an officer in the head, causing the officer to be taken to the hospital with a concussion.

The platinum-selling singer was charged with aggravated assault and assaulting a police officer and causing injury.
