Tyler, the Creator just partnered with Adult Swim as the network has picked up Tyler and Lionel Boyce’s (L-Boy) new animated series The Jellies.
The Jellies is a 15-minute show following a family of jellyfish, including a 16-year-old human son, Cornell. When Cornell learns he was adopted at birth, he is shocked and spirals out of control, setting the stage for many amusing situations. Ryler and Adult Swim previously worked together on his animated show Loiter Squad.
Tyler, the Creator composed the show’s score and provides voices for characters, along with Boyce, Phil LaMarr, Blake Anderson, AJ Johnson and Kevin Michael Richardson.
Tyler and L-Boy first dropped their own animated series called The Jellies in 2015 which aired exclusively on Tyler’s Golf Media app.
Spreading his wings in the television arena, Tyler also struck a deal with Viceland and will star in the new show “Nuts and Bolts” which premieres on August 3. The show follows the Odd Future rapper who is “finding out how things are made.”
No word yet on when new music is on the way but the small screen shows will have to do for now.
