Chicago lyricist Vic Mensa plans to tells his story through his own words in his debut album, The Autobiography. Recently, Vic Mensa expressed his excitement for his upcoming release in a recent post on his Instagram page. “It’s such an honor to be giving you all my debut album, The Autobiography,” Mensa announced. “This is my blood sweat & tears, i’m so infinitely grateful to everyone that’s been here with me for the ride. A lot of you were down with me when I was going through some of the hardest parts of my life, and I wrote an album about them, my debut album.” He went on to say “I got so much love for the people that support me and I really did this album for y’all. Based on a true story.”
Last month, Vic Mensa released the follow up to his There’s Alot Going On EP with The Manuscript. The four track effort featured the banger “OMG” that featured Pusha T and was produced by Pharrell Williams. Vic Mensa has a history of making socially conscious music so we can expect more thought provoking content on his debut.
