Wale Reveals Date and Artwork for His New Album ‘Shine,’ Drops New Single “Fish and Grits” feat. Travi$ Scott [Listen Now]

Long after announcing the album in 2016, Wale has finally confirmed the official release date for his long-awaited follow-up to The Album About Nothing, his fifth studio album, Shine. He also released the final track list, cover art, and gave fans a sneak peek of his new song with Travi$ Scott, “Fish and Grits”.

During 2016, the “Lotus Flower Bomb” rapper’s album has been consistently delayed while dropping hit singles such as “My P.Y.T.” and his collabo with Lil Wayne, “Running Back.” While all of this occured, he became the proud father to a beautiful baby girl, Zyla Moon. Now, after previously revealing that the album is complete, he announced that Shine will finally be released on May 5.

The album will include the previously mentioned singles and his leaked collabo with Travi$ Scott, “Fish and Grits”. Other artist such as G-Eazy, Chris Brown, Major Lazer, WizKid, J. Balvin, and a small variety of different artists from other genres such as Davido, Olamide, and Dua Lipa will be featured on Shine. His princess Zyla Moon will also be featured on the album’s closing song.

MMG boss, Rick Ross also has a song with his nickname in the title, but he, nor Meek Mill or any other MMG affiliates are included on the project.

Folarin’s forthcoming fifth album is now available for pre-order on iTunes and “Fish and Grits” is now available for purchase and you van check it out below. Wale will also kick off The Shine Tour in May.
