Last night (March 13), Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Taylor Gang’ team took home the top prize at A Place Called Home’s (APCH) 11th annual Stars & Strikes Celebrity Bowling Event And Tournament where Fifth Harmony’s, Normani Kordei, Olivia Holt, Miguel and more attended in support of the organization. In its 11-year history, the Stars & Strikes Celebrity Bowling Event And Tournament has helped raised well over one million dollars for APCH’s various youth programs focusing on educational service, health, nutrition, teen services creative expressions and community engagement and more!
“I am so honored to be working with A Place Called Home as their ambassador to bring awareness to the incredible services and programs which benefits kids in the Los Angeles community,” Normani told Billboard.
During the event, attendees had the opportunity to meet and bowl with some of their favorite celebrities while raising money for a great cause. Normani Kordei, Wiz Khalifa, Miguel, Olivia Holt, Rachel Crow, EVARIDE, Forever In Your Mind, Hey Violet, Ciara Wilson, Hunter Fischer, Hunter Payton, and more were in attendance.
Each year, APCH’s Leadership Council works to provide a fun, exciting and immersive experience in an effort to generate awareness and support from a younger generation of supporters. Previous years’ celebrity ambassadors and supporters have included Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Nick Cannon, Pete Wentz, Miguel, Jonah Hill, Hailee Steinfeld, Jason Derulo, Keke Palmer, and many more!
With the help of Normani, this year’s annual Stars & Strikes Celebrity Bowling Event and Tournament was bigger and better than previous years. APCH and its Leadership Council would like to give a special thanks to the official media sponsor, iHeartRadio/KIIS-FM, for their continued support.
Going into its 25th year of service, APCH has directly served more than 18,000 youth, ages 8-21, and tens of thousands of their parents and neighbors through its programs and services and year-round community outreach. APCH’s programs and services include five core areas focused on educational services (including college scholarships), health, nutrition and well-being, teen services, creative expressions (the arts) and community engagement and volunteerism.
A Place Called Home provides a safe, nurturing environment with proven programs in arts, education and wellness for the young people in South Central Los Angeles to help them improve their economic conditions and develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives.
