Woman Fatally Shot at MoneyBagg Yo’s Mississippi Concert

A MoneyBagg Yo concert in West Point, Miss. ended in the death of a 21-year-old woman Thursday night. The Memphis rapper was performing at Bryan Union Hall when shots rang out shortly before 2:00 a.m., according to WTVA.

“We were in there having a good time when we heard some pops. I thought it was some balloons,” an eyewitness said. “Come to find out, someone was shooting guns in the club and everyone started running out the door.”

After the melee had subsided, 21-year-old Dayah Shaw of West Point had suffered from a gunshot wound to the chest. She later died at a Columbus hospital.

Multiple shell casings inside the hall from two different weapons were found by investigators, but no suspects have been apprehended.

MoneyBagg took to Twitter to offer his condolences. “My prayers goes out to the two girls that lost their life tonight at my show the main reason security enforced,” he wrote.

Yo signed to Yo Gotti’s Cocaine Muzik Group label last month and hand delivered $200,000 cash.
