YG dropped the powerful new single “One Time Comin'” and video dissecting police brutality.

The first official post-Still Brazy track finds the Compton rapper spitting over bouncing percussion dropping  verses that call out trigger happy police officers and dives deep into the anxieties and stress that many black men and women face when they encounter law enforcement.

“One time comin’, gotta run from ’em/ ‘Cause they might pull a gun on ’em/ Told my daughter ‘Daddy love you’ when I left the crib.”

YG even touches on the controversial Blue Lives Matter counter protests along with the seemingly lack of empathy from police officers during these tragic events.

“Pop you a nigga, then you laugh, huh?/ Think our life don’t matter?”

Shortly after dropping the video and single, YG took to his Twitter Monday night and revealed that he would be dropping a new mixtape soon.

Although no expected release date has been given, many are wondering if the mixtape referenced is the rumored project that  YG and DJ Mustard previously hinted at dropping. YG released his Still Brazy album in June; his last solo mixtape was 2013’s Just Re’d Up 2.
