YG Gets in Tense Standoff with Police

Things could have gotten deadly for YG as he was cruising the streets of Burbank, Calif. in his Mercedes-Maybach last week.

Apparently, car that the Compton rapper was driving had no license plates and dark-tinted windows, which caused the cops to pull him over, TMZ reports. According to the celebrity news outlet, when the boys in blue asked for his driver’s license and registration,  YG replied with a simple “no.”

He also refused officers’ orders to exit the car for fear of police pumping slugs in his chest or beating him to a pulp. “He told cops he just didn’t trust them,” the article reads. The rapper finally got out of the vehicle after several other patrol cars arrived on the scene for backup.

He had no ID and reportedly asked officers, “Do you know who I am?”

Whether they knew his name or not, YG was cited for having no ID, tinted windows and no license plates.
