Yo Gotti Gets Nardwuar Treatment

Canadian celebrity interviewer Nardwuar conversed with Yo Gotti on the streets of Austin, Texas during SXSW earlier this month.

The Human Serviette surprised the Cocaine Muzik Group kingpin with his knowledge of Memphis hip-hop history, how Gotti first learned how to rap by way of his fifth grade school teacher and distributing Gotti’s early CDs in Ziploc baggies.

The king of Memphis also revealed how he came up with hit song “Down In The DM” (the biggest record in his 15-plus-year career) after eating at DJ Khaled’s Finga Licking restaurant.

As previously reported, Gotti linked up with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Management and started dividing the work last month following the unexpected death of his manager and business partner Mel Carter which left the CMG boss without his right hand man.
