Despite widespread reports, Young Dolph may not have been involved in a shooting over the weekend at CIAA in Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to police, a shooting did occur about 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Caldwell Street and 8th Street, which is a part of town filled with residential buildings, including the First Ward Apartments, but Young Dolph was unconfirmed as the target. Multiple apartment units and vehicles were struck by bullets, officials said in a statement released Sunday (Feb. 26), but there have been no reports of injuries.
The footage being used as Young Dolph’s vehicle is actually footage taken near the scene where the real shooting took place some time after the rapper performed.
After the story broke on Twitter, several sources began to post the picture below as the bulletproof vehicle that Dolph was reportedly transported in, but the photo is actually from a shooting in 2016 at CIAA when three men were arrested after they fired dozens of bullets into two vehicles and an uptown hotel and were found in possession of an AK-47. The bullets hit a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van and a red SUV parked behind it in front of the hotel lobby.
