Young Money Entertainment artist, Lil Twist, will serve a year in jail for the assault and robbery of former Nickelodeon child star, Chris Massey.

According to TMZ, Twist was sentenced Wednesday (November 30), after facing charges for breaking and entering into the apartment of That’s So Raven actor Kyle Massey in November 2014. Twist supposedly put hands on Chris Massey and took a Rolex off his wrist.

Despite the incident taking place in 2014, Twist wasn’t originally charged until March 2015 for the attack, which left him facing six felonies for allegedly breaking into actor Kyle Massey’s house and beating up his brother Chris with brass knuckles. The Los Angeles County District Attorney hit Lil Twist with charges of burglary, making criminal threats, grand theft, battery and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

After taking a plea deal, Lil’ Wayne’s former protege was initially facing a total of 10 years for the assault, but ended up being sentenced to just one-year, after skipping a court date in September, Twist turned himself in and ended up getting arrested for failing to appear in court.

Although Twist’s lawyer was present, the judge did not settle for his absence and issued the warrant. Lil Twist eventually showed up to the Los Angeles courthouse, but he was arrested and booked upon his arrival.

Although he’s been convicted, Twist has the ability to at least spend the holidays with his friends and family before serving his time in February, TMZ also reports he could get out as early as August with good behavior.
