Young Thug recently inked a label deal with 300 Entertainment for his own YSL Records imprint.
In videos posted to his Snapchat on Tuesday, Thugger gets his own office for YSL Records at the 300 Ent. headquarters. The clips show 300 co-founder Kevin Liles making a speech to toast the YSL team.
“Him starting a new venture is going to take us to a different mindset and not just in artists in this particular case,” Liles says in the clip.
Via his new deal, the Atlanta artist sign new talents onto his label. YSL Duke has been said to be on the roster along with other artists soon to be announced in the future.
Keeping busy, he has also been in talks for his own clothing brands and recently kicked off his HIHORSE’D tour with 21 Savage.
300 Entertainment was founded by Cohen, Roger Gold, Kevin Liles and Todd Moscowitz and distributed by Atlantic Records. The label currently includes Fetty Wap, Young Thug, Rich the Kid, Shy Glizzy, Rejjie Snow, Alex Winston, Migos, Conrad Sewell, Highly Suspect, Cobi, Meg Mac, Dae Dae, Coheed and Cambria, ASTR, Tate Kobang, Mainland and Maggie Lindemann.
In February 2014, 300 signed a deal to partner with Twitter that will allow the label full access to the company’s data—including information unavailable to the public, such as tags that reveal the location from which a tweet was sent, in order to discover artists at an early stage and help develop them.
More recently, 300 premiered the Birth of a New Nation tour which features artists Dae Dae, Shy Glizzy, and PNB Rock.
