Pioneering female rapper MC Lyte took to Instagram recently to tribute some of the greatest rappers of all time, “who challenge me to be a better MC,” she wrote in the post alongside pictures of her with Nas, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J and Common.

Her post did not go unnoticed, as Khugo Goodie of the Goodie Mob commented with four crowns, Chuck D with two emojis, Big Daddy Kane with four black hearts, Busta Rhymes with eight crowns and Common writing “WOW! This means a lot because you inspired me!”
Last month on March 23, Lyte was honored alongside Massah David, Miatta Johnson and Dr. Lynn Richardson at the first SEED Summit + Awards at the 1 Hotel in Los Angeles.
