Wu-Tang Clan Is Relaunching Their Clothing Brand, Wu Wear

Two members of the Wu-Tang Clan are throwing it back to the good ol’ days when Wu Wear was in full motion. The namesake brand is returning under the partnership Robert “RZA” Diggs and Oliver “Power” Grant have with Live Nation.

The hip hop collective originally introduced their line of merchandise in 1995. The relaunch debuted more than 20 years later at this summer’s Las Vegas Fashion Market Week on Aug. 14. “Being a sound and style that’s hip hop in its foundation, it has evolved to be a subculture of its own,” said RZA. “The spirit and swag that the brand invokes has been inspirational to multiple generations across a diverse spectrum.” Any items sold with the Wu Wear aesthetics within the last few years have been counterfeit, and RZA and Power assure that these will be the only authentic Wu Wear out there.

The new items promise some of the same designs as before as well as offer new ones that incorporate the decades-old traditions of the Wu-Tang Clan. Power acts as the “Historic Creative Consultant” to ensure so. Available at major retailers, the two are opening the relaunch with a few pieces in time for the 2017 holiday shopping season. The full line will come around Spring/Summer 2018—when both the brand album Enter the 36 Chambers will celebrate their 25th anniversaries.
