Atlanta Rapper Yung Mazi Shot and Killed

In yet another senseless killing, the city of Atlanta mourns the death of another local rapper. This time, the victim is 28-year-old Yung Mazi.

Atlanta’s WXIA-TV 11 Alive reports the rapper was gunned down last night (August 6) in Atlanta’s Kirkwood community. According to reports, police responded to a shooting, near the intersection of Oakview Road and Hosea L. Williams Drive, around 8:55 p.m., where they found Mazi suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officials say that when they arrived on the scene, the victim was already deceased. Police have not yet confirmed a suspect in the shooting.

The attack was the second shooting that he rapper suffered in the last eight months. Back in December, he was shot three times at a Buckhead Waffle House and even disclosed to police that he was shot 10 times prior to that particular shooting.

Since the news of Mazi’s killing surfaced, social media has shared many condolences.
