BAPE Drops 2017 Spring/Summer Ladies’ Lookbook

Japanese streetwear company A Bathing Ape has just dropped their 2017 SS Ladies’ Lookbook. Better know as BAPE, the brand has cultivated a loyal fan base over the years amongst the fashion, skater, and hip-hop crowd. The company’s signature motifs can often be seen throughout sporty garments that stamp their unique look. For this year’s Summer/Spring collection, the popular street brand features designs ranging from casual to everyday and even incorporates pieces for nights on the town.

The signature camo, shark mouth and Bathing Ape are seen heavily throughout designs for this season, clad on garments like skater skirts, joggers and hoodies. On-the-go everyday looks were abundant this time around for the usually tom-boyish women’s line. Even some borderline preppy styles were included to really take things out of bounds.

Casual looks fill most of lookbook while various styles of dresses and skirts give the line a strong feminine touch. A playful collared shift dress and full camo pencil skirt are just some of the frilly designs scattered amongst sporty oversized parkas and t-shirts. Accessories include many of the popular street wear staples like bucket hats, dad hats and backpacks while lace up athletic sneakers and slip on skater shoes finish off many of the looks. Lifestyle pieces like a fanny pack and travel mug are also thrown in to provide eclectic, yet practical options.

Unexpected design elements like crisp straight lines are incorporated in the form of stiff collared shirts and a-line skirts adding some major style points to the collection. All together, the line showcases a lively mashup of colors, prints and designs keeping it classic while drawing on fresh ideas for a broader scope.
