Big Boi Talks Boomiverse, Longevity and More with The Breakfast Club [Watch]

Big Boi recently sat down with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club to discuss his new project, Boomiverse.

When it comes to having a unique sound, Atlanta emcee Big Boi has always been ahead of the curve. His latest LP Boomiverse shows Big’s return to the mainstream. When asked if his sound has also been outside of the current trends of Hip-Hop, Big Boi says it has been a priority even with projects of Outkast. “Absolutely man. Since the days of Outkast, we always wanted to do what everybody else wasn’t. It’s all just to keep reinventing yourself and you’ve got to evolve every time you make music.”

Big Boi also discussed the status of the long-awaited Outkast project, stating the continued questions are “a part of the business.”

“People will never understand the relationship we have like we know what it is. Even though he lives [in New York City] now, we are still close; like I am having dinner with him later and when he comes to Atlanta he comes to see me. As far as the album, it will happen when it makes sense.”
