Dave Chappelle Talks Bill Cosby, Career and More with The Breakfast Club [Watch]

Dave Chappelle has always been one to speak his mind and during his interview with The Breakfast Club, he kept it real as usual.

On Friday (Jun 30), Chappelle and former co-star Donnell Rawlings stopped by the studio during the promo run for Dave’s Radio City residency. During the interview, Dave gave his opinion on the upcoming fight between Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor.

“Personally I think McGregor is going to get destroyed,” Dave said. “It’s not even competitive, so if I spend $7 million dollars on Floyd for a bet then I’ll only make a million, so in that case is it gambling if you’re sure because this would be like Golden State Warriors playing your local high school.”

Chappelle wasn’t all sports, he talked about how he ended up meeting and working with Rawlings who was featured on his show several times.

“The first time I heard about Donnell was when I went back home to D.C. and I was performing at a comedy club and I asked who was opening up. Everyone was telling me that I needed to get this kid named Donnel Rawlings and I met him and we hit it off from there.”

Chappelle who’s 10 date New York show kicks off in August, will be teaming up with Childish GambinoErykah Badu, the Roots, Chris Rock, Trevor Noah, Ali Wong, and more. The comedy event takes place at Radio City Music Hall, to purchase your tickets, visit Ticketmaster.
